Cultivating Awareness in Yoga Practice.
Yoga is a famous practice in this decade.
However, the pure essence of yoga is missing around the world.
People have simply turned yoga to an acrobatic practice. Where there is nothing wrong to have great flexibility physically but the key point in yoga is not just to have a flexible body.
There are actually many true Indian Yogis having a fat belly too. Ultimately our body is a temporary happening. Original yoga practice is to go beyond our body and mind, dissolving the attachment and possessiveness towards the physical reality.
Yoga practice is designed to experience a deep awareness of the ultimate potential of our being. In this case, bringing our body into any kind of hard posture and experiencing extraordinary flexibility is the potential of our body, besides that what about our mental and emotional body, how deeply have we cultivated our patience, compassion, unconditional Love towards the existence. How peacefully are we able to manifest these Transforming Activities.
I’ve seen plenty of Yoga practitioners eating meat and teaching Yoga.
This one factor has already shown they have not even integrated the most fundamental message of yoga. A great message from Yoga is Ahimsa.
Ahimsa Paramo Dharma (अहिंसा परमॊ धर्मः) which literally means: non-violence is the highest moral virtue. … Ahimsa is the Art of Living, A way to live kind and compassionate. when it comes to Ahimsa consuming Animals is an animal act which is not anymore an Ahimsa. So those who are still eating meat and still want to be yoga instructors only shows that they are missing the Essence of Yoga.
Let yoga practice gives you the great experience of Samadhi, follow The eight limbs of yoga: Yama (abstinences), Niyama (observances), Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (absorption).” In total surrender instead of only practicing Asana, only through following these 8 limbs with 100% commitment & surrender will cultivate a deeper awareness of enteral truth which leads to Liberation & Enlightenment.
