Your Life Is a Garden,
Don't Let It Be a Freezer
"Let love be nurtured boundlessly — be present like a shade-giving tree, a clear blue sky, or warm sunlight."
The TransformingArt Reunion on May 3rd was more than a gathering — it was a space of connection that began with spontaneous music, singing, and free-form dancing. It was the moment when the walls between people came down, making way for the flow of life itself.
✿ A Dream That Sprouted on the Himalayan Peaks
We began with the inspiring story of volunteer Funia. Standing before the vast expanse of Ladakh, realizing she was but a tiny grain of sand, Funia chose to leave all her anger behind on the Himalayan peaks. That was the beginning of a fierce determination — a thirst for freedom, courage, and trust in herself.
Funia went on to realize her dream of building a fairytale garden in Bao Loc, even while facing a painful spinal injury. When your aspiration is strong enough, the entire universe conspires to support you. The joy of freedom is only truly sustainable when accompanied by discipline and responsibility toward your own dream.
When your aspiration is strong enough, the entire universe conspires to support you.
✿ Journeys Inward
Continuing the flow, Ngoc shared how traveling to the Indian Himalayas with the teacher gave her the opportunity to expand and grow, to recognize the cycles of karma, to allow herself to go where she had never been, to let the universe lead the way and trust the natural intelligence within.
Nhung also shared her experience of a one-day silent meditation with Master Oneness. She went through a profound process — moving through drowsiness, waves of loneliness, missing loved ones, tears flowing freely — only to find, in the hours of practice that followed, a deep sense of peace, stillness, and renewed energy.
✿ Gratitude Sprouting from the Simplest Things
Master Oneness reminded us that in a society overflowing with comfort, we sometimes forget how to be grateful for a sip of clean water or a good meal. Through days of fasting, abstaining from water, and deep meditation, the community came to realize: The mind is only truly free when it is no longer attached to material desires.
"Try starving yourself for a week, and you will see gratitude sprouting from the simplest things."
— Master Oneness
The teacher also illuminated the practical value of meditation. Meditation is not about sitting still and daydreaming — it is the process of "melting down" the scrap metal of fear and selfish ego. When pain surfaces, instead of adding fuel to the fire with judgment, we learn to witness it with objectivity. "You are not that pain." When the ego melts away, peace flows naturally like water.
You are not that pain.
When the ego melts away, peace flows naturally like water.
✿ Untangling the Knots of Family
The deepest knots around family bonds were also untangled. We often suffer because we want our loved ones to change according to our will — forcing a fish to climb a tree and a monkey to swim. But through TransformingArt, we learn to honor each person's unique journey.
Let your children and loved ones stumble, let them grow at their own natural rhythm. Only when we stop demanding can we truly give them — and ourselves — absolute freedom.
✿ Turn Your Life Into a Garden
Let your life be a garden — sow and cultivate beauty from seeds that flow freely, rather than hoarding in the narrow confines of a freezer. Don't freeze your mind in the grip of holding on for yourself alone; let love be nurtured boundlessly.
Be present like a shade-giving tree, a clear blue sky, or warm sunlight. Trust in the power of your own presence and radiance, for you are already a candle bright enough to bring the light of love to this world.
You are already a candle bright enough to bring the light of love to this world.
All of nature's laws are fair to everyone. The only difference lies in each person's determination and consistency. Don't wait for some distant future — begin purifying and connecting with what you already have, right now.
