Life always gives us the right to choose
Faced with anything we all have a choice. For example, when faced with waking up in the morning, we have the complete choice of getting up at 5 am or not getting up until 12 noon. When asked a question, we have the choice whether to answer or ignore the question, answer yes or no, can also ask again, etc. We have not only two options, but many more options.
So, if asked, do you want to live a full life or just survive?
What is your answer?
Every happening in life, even the smallest, we need to take responsibility for it. When we are not responsible for ourselves, it is easy for us to ask questions like why me, why am I born in this family, why am I in this situation? We will be stuck in the victim mentality, and we couldn’t stop whining and blaming the whole world. We are dependent and passive in our own lives, ruts of thought that lead to vicious cycles of suffering and sorrow.
When we are responsible for ourselves, we will know how to make ourselves happy even in the midst of difficulties. We know how to listen to ourselves and not let ourselves fall into uncontrollable states and emotions. We are independent when we separate ourselves from expectations, we are willing to break through assumptions to discover the truth, we are open to learning from challenges.
We love ourselves by cultivating peace and continually upgrading our own wisdom with serious practice.
To become responsible for yourself, it is first and foremost to pass judgment and stop judging yourself. Don’t assume you can’t, but say you need to try it. For times when you feel depressed, lazy and don’t want to do your job, question your own integrity, commitment, and consistency? When you are frustrated and tired, visualize the burning desire inside of you and continue to stand up and move on.
Every experience in life is worthwhile.
