Kicking off the series “Behind the Summits: Untold Stories of the Himalayas,” Soul Talk 1 (held on January 23rd) brought deep resonance through “The Journey Back to Self.” The inspiring story of Helen Cẩm Hà (U70) serves as a living testament to the spirit: when the heart calls, simply embark.
1. When the Heart Calls, Embark
There are moments in life when you don’t need a reason or a perfect plan. All you need is a call from deep within, and you know you must go.
The story of Helen Cẩm Hà—a woman in her 70s—is a testament to this. Having only known Diviners for a few months, never having set foot in India, and speaking no English, she felt an undeniable urge to set out. No expectations, no calculations—just a simple desire to go.
This wasn’t recklessness. It was trust in the voice of the heart, at a point where logic could no longer explain the experiences unfolding.
2. From the Abyss of Emotion to the Light Ahead
Many people turn to meditation and spiritual journeys when they are at their lowest point. Helen Cẩm Hà was no different. Amidst a major life shock, feeling broken and empty, this woman—who once relied solely on scientific logic—found her way to a silent meditation retreat. As if guided by the universe, she eventually joined the Himalayan journey with Master Oneness.
Before the trip, she was in tears:
Worried about bad weather and flight turbulence.
Anxious about traveling abroad alone for the first time.
Yet, after all the hurdles, a miracle occurred: everything became “empty” in the best possible way, allowing her to receive everything that came her way. When the plane touched down, she cried like a child. The sobbing wasn’t from fear, but from a powerful, newfound sensation: the feeling of coming home, even though it was her first time in this land.
3. Don’t Let Fear Overpower Your Heart
The story of Soul Host Janavi touched many hearts: “Don’t let fear drown out the heart.”
Before leaving for the Himalayas, Janavi’s child fell ill. However, three days later, the child recovered. When Janavi shared her worries, her child responded like a “little master,” supporting her mother’s journey. Was it a miracle? Or simply that when you let go of fear and trust, everything falls into its rightful place?
Emptiness is not loss. It is the space for faith and love to be filled. When you dive deep into your heart and your truth, leaving worry behind, you can truly continue your journey.
4. Miracles That Unfold in Silence
On the journey with Master Oneness to sacred temples, powerful emotions surfaced during every meditation. Though names of places faded from memory, the yearning to return to the Himalayas to touch that energy remained.
After returning, miracles continued:
Helen found herself incredibly healthy, trekking and bathing in cold waterfalls in Da Lat.
During meditation, she could clearly see white clouds in her heart, manifesting as a heart-shaped cloud.
This sacred land teaches one how to listen and receive energy from the universe. Many, like volunteer Sam, wept like children on this journey. Seeing this, Helen learned the art of service, giving, and loving unconditionally.
5. The Energy of Unconditional Love
Regarding Master Oneness, Helen Cẩm Hà shared:
“Master Oneness possesses an energy that attracts the inner child, winning people over with love rather than power. He is a brother, a father, a caregiver, a teacher, and a mother… his arms embrace everyone in vast love. The way he gives makes the receiver feel natural and free of pressure.”
After the journey, she realized she had become richer in spirit. The transformation was immeasurable—visible in her health, her hair, her skin, and her inner energy.
6. Learning to Live Authentically
Soul Host Janavi shared that while she might not believe in religion or “miracles” in the traditional sense, she believes in energy. It is a story of living a real, simple life through true experiences.
Since that journey, the participants have found they can:
- Connect with others more naturally.
- Choose authenticity over external validation.
- Meet whatever comes with prayer, meditation, and a spirit of “surrender.
7. It Is Never Too Late to Start
Reflecting on her Himalayan journey, Helen Cẩm Hà shared: It is never too late on the path back to yourself. At nearly 70, with rosy skin and the strength to climb mountains, she proves that opening one’s senses makes one braver. Be bold, be authentic, and be lighthearted in receiving life’s gifts.
8. Turning Willpower into Footsteps
Going to the Himalayas isn’t about finding something outside. It’s about knowing who you are and seeing the light within your own heart.
For Helen, the trip was a maximum expansion of consciousness. She congratulates the young people who find this path early but maintains: At any age, when the heart calls, have the courage to step out. Let your will be the strength that carries you over every barrier.
