Every attendee brought back their own unique stories, small but significant pieces of a journey back to themselves at Diviners Fest 2025.
I. The Dancing Fire and Childhood Memories
One friend shared:
For over 18 years, I had never witnessed people celebrating and dancing around a bonfire at a festival until I came to Diviners Fest. For the very first time, that moment became a reality.
A friend from Germany sat by the fire, watching the flames dance, feeling the warmth and the smell of burning wood. It all transported them back to their grandmother’s kitchen in a faraway childhood memory. From this, deep insights about the fire of transformation gradually emerged:
“Fire means equality and non-discrimination. It warms all of us, regardless of nationality, age, or gender. The fire within me needs to be seen first for its needs and its beauty. Then it must be used correctly, not like a wildfire that flares up and immediately dies out, but in a conscious and mindful way, like a pure white laser beam of light.”
II. Hope and Connection
Hope Amidst Burdens: One friend was dealing with cancer, had just broken up with their girlfriend, and carried many other burdens in life. They had tried to overcome it alone. But upon coming to Diviners Fest, they found hope and realized they no longer had to face life by themselves.
Family Reunion: Another friend reconnected with their father. They realized they had never actively hugged their father while he was alive, because the disconnection had lasted too long. After just one experience at the festival, that bond began to gently and genuinely reconnect.
Recharged Confidence: Yet another friend shared about their lack of self-confidence. Miraculously, in just two short days, the festival’s energy helped them recharge their confidence battery, along with simple and small joys.
III. The Story of Hiếu and the Flawless Heart
The story of Hiếu, and his journey overcoming the dark moments after an accident stole his legs:
He once wanted to give up until he saw his father’s tears.
He crawled out of his shell and turned those shells into works of art.
He painted a picture called “The Flawless Heart” as a gift to Diviners Fest for a fundraising auction. As the painting was presented, tears fell, and we only saw a beautiful, unblemished heart.
The artists in Hội An were exhausted from dealing with the losses after the storm and flood, but when they came here, connected through music from the heart, they felt warmth and support.
🌳 Breathe, Forest: A Message for Nature
Following the festival, a tree-planting project named “Rừng Ơi, Thở Đi” (Breathe, Forest) was also launched through a collaboration between Diviners and Toom Sara.
Many messages about protecting nature and our Earth home were deeply embedded at Diviners Fest. We are one with nature. And we need to protect and respect all species on this planet with an awakened and compassionate heart.
