Emotions are our reactions to the outside world. Our emotions are very diverse, typically happy and sad.
Almost all of us experience a wide range of emotions every day. Sometimes we’re excited just seconds before, but in the blink of an eye we’re already shy. Therefore, it is easy for us to realize that:
“Emotions are only temporary and they change constantly“
Although emotions are always changing, they always occupy an important place in life. When we feel happy and excited, everything is quick and the mood blooms. But when we are sad, disappointed, we are not eager to do anything anymore, no one asks and does not bother to answer, the whole day suddenly becomes lifeless.
Emotions have a great influence on our decisions and actions.
There are actions we take out when we’re angry that sometimes make us regret looking back. There are days immersed in depression that make us waste our youth. And emotions are rooted in our thoughts and perspectives. Therefore, we can completely control our emotions when we have insight into the process of the mind. Once you have the ability to see things objectively and the flexibility to change your perspective in a holistic and positive way, you will always be clear about what you need to do and keep the enthusiasm to move forward.
And controlling emotions doesn’t mean suppressing emotions. Because suppressing emotions will cause those emotions to accumulate until the point of “the last drop of water” will have the opposite effect on ourselves. because emotions are a signal that tells us that there is something that needs to be resolved. To master emotions is to accept and face our own feelings, asking ourselves what this emotion is. What is the cause of this feeling? What is the solution to that root cause?
Let’s practice meditation to become more aware of your emotions, and be honest with yourself and learn how to express and transform your emotions.
Ask mindful questions to clarify the root cause and see the reality of the problem. Stay awake to master those emotions and direct your own actions.
