5 years ago, after graduating from college, I went alone on a world tour with a 15lb carry-on bag….

What the reason I go to USA?
Then on 10/22/2022, I left Vietnam for the U.S., again, also alone. But this time, with a 50 lb. suitcase filled with posters, leaflets, banners, and logistics for the Diviners Festival. This is my first time arriving in L.A. – the city of Angels.
Diviners Fest is not meant for entertainment or commercial purposes. It is our unconditional offering to the world to express our deep gratitude towards life. Since 2017, Diviners Fest has been a sacred community space where artists, healers, facilitators, and practitioners gather every year, to dance, meditate, and celebrate to raise our collective vibration around the world.
This year, Diviners Fest is organized in 2 locations simultaneously: one in our Diviners Ashram, Vietnam, and one in Los Angeles, on November 20th.
I was chosen to come to the U.S. to organize this Festival by my Master Ojas, the founder of this organization, who trusted in me.

The stories’ s Jasmine in USA – First Day
When I arrived at customs, I was stopped for an investigation. The immigration officers questioned why I came to the U.S, what I would be doing here with so little money (I showed them my $400 cash in my wallet), and what is the purpose of organizing the Festival. I kept calm and explained point by point.
They asked me to open my luggage for a thorough check. They read through every single leaflet, asked me to open my personal Facebook page and the website of the event, noted down all the contacts I have here in the U.S. and after 2 hours of investigation, they allowed me to enter the U.S. and wished us “good luck” with our endeavors.
When I arrived here, I need to find hosts who can offer me accommodation in their home. On the other side, I need to take care of my food with minimal cost, and I often eat one meal per day.

Everyone say “NO” and my choice is…
When people heard that we are organizing a Festival in the U.S. in only 28 days, with so few resources, they laughed and said, they have never encountered “an Asian woman” organizing a Festival here in the U.S alone.
Plus, we are organizing a FREE Entry festival, so that anyone with interest can participate, without barriers.
I was told “there is no free lunch here”, that “everyone here is so busy earning a living that they won’t be interested in supporting or joining a FREE festival”. When someone gave me negative comments or opinions according to their habits, it let me down and wondered, how is it possible to put together a Fest in the next 15 days in a new country? There were weak moments that I even thought of changing the date of the Fest.
But once I raised my consciousness beyond my weak mind, I gave myself suggestions, with the support of Master Ojas Oneness. I told myself, at any costs we are doing the Diviners Fest, and we will proceed with 100% open heart, open mind, and divine trust for the process.
About 14 days
In the first 14 days, I explored and attended community yoga and meditation events to introduce myself, offer the Fest, and ask the community for their support. Tommy and Noonie, the sitarist and the sound healer, were the first two artists who agreed to join us and perform at the Fest. When I introduced the idea, they said “of course we will be there”. This gave me so much hope that we are doing the right thing, and this is the platform that many people need.
Since I don’t have a car and everything in L.A. is so far out, I often hitchhike asking for a ride, or take the train or the bus, or on foot, often taking 2-3 hours to get to one event to promote.
One time, a kind stranger who stopped to give me a ride asked, “How do you trust a random person to get in their car like that?” I responded, I just know it, and I trust when I am contributing to the Noble cause, I always have divine grace and protection.
Coming to the U.S. to organize Diviners Fest is my soul adventure: within 28 days, in a totally new city, with little money, network, and resources. With pure intention and consciously focused action, we will see what unfolds as a result of this endeavor.
Supporting me is a whole team of Volunteers in Vietnam. Johnny stays up late at night to make calls and connections as it is daytime here in the U.S. Julie moved to the Ashram to focus and work with dedication for this project. The designer and videography teams work late into the night to support me and promote materials for the Fest quickly.
The numbers say what we can do
Within 14 days of arriving in the U.S., we have witnessed a beautiful unfolding:
15 awakened artists agreed to perform at our Fest
10 conscious vendors agreed to come sell at our Fest
A vibrant community and network of people are willing to share, and spread word about the Fest.
And every day, we receive an abundance of organic interest and support from the community to make this happen. They say, “thank you, we need more of this”.
Now I see a constant unconditional efforts always allows us to witness miracles.
Diviners Fest is a true celebration where you are accepted as who you are, freely connect with your inner child, no judgment based on your appearance, age, gender, race, or title.
A true celebration is different from a party. A party can be a show-off, casual interaction. After each party, you may get drunk or feel exhausted, empty, and lonely.
But in the true celebration atmosphere, you are allowed to let go of your identity and what no longer serves you, you are invited to dance with your inner freedom and show up as your authentic self without pretending or showing off to get attention. You are healing and filled with loving compassionate energy.
This is the kind of space we are offering at Diviners Fest.
This is not a one-time event, but it is the journey of collaboration and contribution together with all who are involved. We have a plan to set up a meditation center for the community here in California. This festival is the time for us to connect and spread our intention together.
We hope to bring holistic well-being to the community through artistic expression and meditation.
We estimated the cost of organizing a free festival for 200 people in Santa Clarita to be $8,500. Now we have 3 days to go and we reached 9% of the goal – $761/$8500. We are grateful to have your support to manifest our noble activity successfully.
